SrinagarWaseem Raza showed his all-round brilliance as Gymkhana Stars beat Eleven Brothers by 75 runs in Gani Kashmiri Super League fixture played on Tuesday.
It proved to be a no contest thanks to Raza who shone with bat slamming a 70 and snared a three-fer to play a major role in Stars victory.
Batting first, Gymkhana Stars amassed a total of 190 in the allotted 20 overs. Raza emerged as the highest scorer for the Star with an unbeaten 70. He was ably aided by Aqib who made 40 while Kamran contributed 24. For Eleven Brothers, Faisal took three wickets while Aquib and Haroon took a wicket each.
Eleven Brothers never looked hunting down the target as their innings fell apart with wickets falling at regular intervals. Brothers could manage only 115 all-out suffering a massive defeat. Waseem Raza and Amir pocketed three wickets each. Tahir also scalped a brace of wickets.
Waseem Raza was unsurprisingly chosen man of the match for his all-round brilliance. Dr iqbal gave away man of the match award to Raza.
