‘Reports about Missing File Unconfirmed’

Srinagar—Following reports of the file containing legal opinion on Article 35A having missed from North Block’s high-security vaults, the State government Sunday said that it is “not believable” that such an important file can get missing.

“Reports are not believable as the file about 35 A is very important and such files are not kept in only one single department. In case, the file is missing then the copy of the file and the records it carries will be available in the office of the President of India,” said sources in the Law Department .

Sources said that “there is nothing worrying” about the Article 35A or the file because the file will be available in the offices of Home, Law Ministry and the President of India”
