IUST students protest against killing of Hizb militant Irfan Sheikh

Awantipora—The students of Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora on Thursday staged a protest against the killing of their former university mate and Hizb militant Irfan ul Haq Sheikh in a gunfight with forces on August 13.

Reports said that the students staged a protest inside the University campus.

The protesters were carrying banners to denounce the killing of Sheikh who had completed his B Tech from the varsity.

Sheikh was killed along with two other militants, including operational commander Mehmood Ghaznavi, in a gunfight with forces on August 13 in Awneera village of the district.
