Budgam—In memory of the four innocent youth killed last year on this day by Government Forces, the Aripanthan area in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district observed a complete shutdown.

Muhammad Ashraf Wani, a businessman; Manzoor Ahmad Lone, a farmer; Javid Ahmad Najar, a carpenter and Javid Ahmad Sheikh, a hairdresser were shot dead by forces on August 16 as peoples agitation was going on in Kashmir following the July 8 killing of Burhan Wani.

All shops and other commercial establishments are closed while public transport is off the roads in the area.

No separatist organization had called for the strike in the area. (CNS)
