IGP Northern Railway Awarded Presidents Medal

Srinagar—Sanjay Kishore Chief Security Commissioner cum-Inspector General of Police, Northern Railway was awarded President’s Police Medal for distinguished service on the occasion of Independence Day 2017.

An Indian Police Services Officer of 1987 batch, Mr Kishore has been holding the position of Chief Security Commissioner-cum- Inspector General of Police, Northern Railway for the past two years handling the complexities of crime and intelligence on the entire northern zone from Kashi to Kashmir.

Mr Kishore has been conferred with this honour in view of his tactical crime control measures and initiatives as well as astute handling of intelligence matters for preventive crime besides his focus on adoption of technological tools for security on Railways.
