SrinagarTwo devotees were killed and two others critically injured when a car they were travelling in skidded off the road near Abhama bridge in south Kashmirs Pulwama district on late Sunday evening.
A police official said that four persons on the way to Pakherpora from Poonch district who were travelling in a Maruti car bearing registration number JKO2J-2836 met with an accident at Abhama resulting in serious injuries to all of them.
All the injured were shifted to nearby hospital where two among the injured persons have been declared brought dead by the doctors. The other two injured were later referred to SMHS Srinagar for specialized treatment, the official said.
The official identified the deceased as Shah Nawaz Khanday S/O Abdul Aziz r/o Zrakan Pulwama and Mohammad Hanief s/o Jan Mohammad Kalas r/o Poonch and the injured persons as Shamim Khanday s/o Mohammad Akbar, r/o Zrakan, Pulwama and Rakin Deen r/o Poonch.
The persons travelling in the car were on their way to shrine of Hazrat Syed Ali Aali Balkhi (RA) Pakherpora, the officer said. (GNS
