Thursday saw the tournament reaching district Srinagar with first match played between Friends Cricket Club and Kashmir Tigers which the latter won by 56 runs. The star of the show was Abid Nahi who tool three wickets and scored 45 runs for the winning side.
Batting first, Kashmir Tigers posted a decent score of 158 for the loss of wickets. In reply, Friends Cricket Club were bundled out for 102.
Abid was declared man of the match.
Ravees Ahmad made 75 and took two wickets as Shama Cricket Club thumped Star Eleven by 53 runs.
Batting first, Shama Cricket Club amassed a score of 183 for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs and the exhibited great skills with ball to restrict Star Eleven to 130 for the loss of eight wickets.
Ravees was chosen man of the match for his all-round show.
Anantnag fixture proved to be lopsided tie as Mattan Reds rolled over Rising Star Anantnag by 46 runs.
Mattan Reds posted a huge score of 217 for the loss of five wickets and then shot out Rising Star Anantnag for a paltry 71.
Shalina and MLA XI fixture in Budgam district was another one-sided encounter with Shalina taking just 15.5 overs to overhaul the target of 132 set by their opponents. Javid Ahmad was the anchor the chase making a solid 58 to earn him the man of the match award.
