SrinagarIncarcerated JKLF Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik has strongly condemned the arrest of Islamabad youth Atif Hassan who has been slapped with PSA and shifted to Kathua jail.
Yasin Malik also strongly condemned implicating incarcerated Muhammad Ishaq Paul of Shupian in a false case.
In his message sent out from jail JKLF chairman said that putting innocent youth behind bars and inflicting harm to the people who are striving for resolution of Kashmir dispute peacefully is continuing unabated and by unleashing these kinds of oppressive policies so-called rulers are actually setting whole valley on fire.
Terming the arrest of 31 year old Atif Hassan of Islamabad, torturing him in police station and then slapping PSA on him as worst kind of police terrorism, JKLF incarcerated chairman said that Atif Hassan is a peaceful activist whose political ideology vis-a-vis Kashmir dispute is clear. He has been striving for resolution of Kashmir issue peacefully but police and other forces have always inflicted harm to him. He said that from a long time Atif was working hard to earn bread and butter for his innocent family but police suddenly arrested him, tortured him and slapped PSA on him and for adding more suffering to him and his family rulers shifted him to Kuthwa jail.
JKLF chairman said that in the same manner police earlier slapped PSA on JKLF district president Ganderbal Bashir Ahmad Rather (Boya) whos first PSA was quashed by high court but police slapped another PSA on him and shifted this known peaceful political activist to Kotbalwal jail. JKLF chairman said that criminal mindset of police and their political masters can be gauged by their ugly act done against a lifer Muhammad Ishaaq Paul who was recently declared innocent by a court and ordered to be released. After the court order, instead of releasing this man who was in jail from last 13 years, police rearrested him and implicated him in a murder that happened some six months back when Ishaaq was in central jail Srinagar.
