Srinagar: Police on Tuesday said four persons have been arrested over allegedly raping a girl at Kupwara district of North Kashmir.
SHO Sogam, Ateequllah said that one Ghulam Hassan Mir of Sogam, Lolab registered a complaint with police that four persons including Tariq Ahmad Lone of Shalgund Khurhama, Hilal Ahmad Shah of Shalgund Khurhama, Saqib Ahmad Shah of Shatmuqam Lolab and Khursheed Ahmad Mir of Darpora Lolab raped his daughter.
Acting upon the complaint, police arrested all the accused and registered a case under FIR number 31 Under Section 366 and 376 RPC at Sogam police station. Further investigation is on, the SHO added.(GNS)
