Srinagar: Chairman, Hurriyat Confrence (G) Syed ASyed Ali Geelani on Monday demanded immediate release of all detainees before Eid festival, saying that hundreds of leaders and activists have been lodged in far-flung areas of Jammu.
According to a statement issued here, terming the approach of authorities as sheer extremism, Geelani added that infamous PSA is being repeatedly slapped on political activists.
Authorities are subjecting prisoners to vengeance, said he and added that it is state sponsored punishment for both these prisoners and their families.
Geelani while referring to haughty and callous approach of administration, said that even Judiciary and organizations for human rights are turning their blind eye to horrible reports about detainees plight and added that there is no accountability for this.
