Schools, Colleges to Remain Closed for 4th Day

Srinagar—The district administrations of Srinagar, Anantnag and Kulgam have extended suspension order of class work in all Degree Colleges and Higher Secondary Schools (HSS) for fourth consecutive day on Thursday.

“Teaching activity will remain suspended in Degree Colleges and Higher Secondary Schools of district Srinagar on June 1,” Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Lone said.

Meanwhile, all the educational institutions will also remain closed for the fourth consecutive day on Thursday in Anantnag and Kulgam district of south Kashmir.

Officials said the decision was taken to “prevent law and order problem.”
