APHC criticizes Paresh Rawal for targeting Arundathi Roy

Srinagar: All Parties Hurriyat Conference has criticized film actor Paresh Rawal for his unjustified remarks against a noted human rightist activist and writer, Arundhati Roy.

Intolerance and fascism in India is at its peak, said Hurriyat and while criticizing Paresh Rawal, Hurriyat said that it is unfortunate that even irrelevant person from film industry are following this stale mindset. She is renowned and prominent human rightist activist and regarded for her thinking and contribution in literary field, said Ayaz Akbar.

Ridiculing statement of Paresh Rawal. Ayaz Akbar said that it is pity that as an ordinary and worthless actor, his remarks against Arun Dhati Roy are   unacceptable, unjustified and absurd.

It is disheartening that forces, media, judiciary and now its film industry is promoting fanatical dogma, said Ayaz Akbar. If this trend is not stopped forthwith, it will prove fatal and disastrous for India, said he. (CNS)
