Srinagar: Army and Para commandos have launched massive searches in forest areas of Lolab in border Kupwara district of north Kashmir after receiving inputs about presence of militants.
Sources said that armys RR units and 9 Para launched massive searches in several forest areas of Lolab including Hapatnaar and Darpora after it received intelligence inputs about presence of newly infiltrated militants.
The army and its elite Para commandos have launched searches in a vast forest area that also include Machil sector to track down the militants who are believed to be hiding in the woods. The operation is on but so far no militant has been traced out, the sources said.
Pertinently, four militants and three army soldiers were killed along LOC in Naugam sector during a 36-hour long gunfight. The militants had infiltrated few days ago.
