4 Soldiers, 4 Militants Killed in Kupwara

Kupwara: Four Indian Army soldiers and an equal number of militants were killed in an ongoing operation near Nowgam sector of Kupwara district in the Kashmir Valley on Sunday.

According to reports army received inputs about the presence of militants who were trying to cross the Line of Control that divides Kashmir between India and Pakistan in Kupwara’s Nowgam sector.

They were engaged in a gunfight that lasted for over 36 hours. 

Four militants and four Army jawans were killed during the gunbattle, reports said.
