RSS working on a plan to change JK demography: Geelani

Srinagar: Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani Thursday accused RSS of working under what he termed as a well thought out plan to change demographic status of Jammu and Kashmir.

Geelani expressed his serious concern over the reports of proposed public meeting being organized in Srinagar by RSS and said that after Jammu province Kashmir is the next target for carrying their ‘ igoted agenda’.

Geelani said, that “these fanatical elements in 1947, brutally massacred five lakh Muslims and fifteen lakhs were compelled to migrate”.

“Since the inception of BJP led regime in Delhi, these forces are hatching conspiracies and have turned Jammu a base station for their communal activities”, Geelani said in a statement.

Statement quoting ‘ eliable sources’, said that communal forces were “distributing arms and providing training to Jan Sangh workers”.

Members of Muslim community are harassed and intimidated on one pretext or the other and higher officials belonging to Muslim communities are transferred to far flung areas, the statement alleged.

“We are keeping a close vigil and collecting details as such activities are detrimental”, said Geelani.
