Mujahid Yaqoob becomes ‘first certified coach of Karate’

SRINAGAR: Mujahid Yaqoob (Sensei) has qualified the Karate Association of India Coach and Ni Dan Grade exam at New Delhi during the recently concluded Junior and Under 21 Karate Championship.

Mujahid was honoured by Shihan Bharat Sharma, general secretary of Karate Association of India in a ceremony during the said championship. Sensei Mujahid is the first accredited Kata and Kumite Karate coach of Kashmir.

It is pertinent to mention that Karate Association of India is the only federation of Karate in India governing all styles of Karate through proper approval.

Mujahid Yaqoob is a renowned coach of Kashmir promoting Karate all over the state and trains students for National and International events. In recently concluded Junior and Under 21 Karate Championship, he was the manager of state karate team.
