Srinagar: Reacting to the remarks of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti that people should make a choice between Kashmiriyat and ISIS, both factions of the Hurriyat Conference Monday said such comments have no bearing on their struggle and that the people have chosen freedom over slavery.
Kashmiriyat and ISIS is a new terms adopted by our deceitful subjugators for undermining the reality of Kashmir and distorting the facts in order to discredit the freedom movement, a statement by Hurriyat Conference led by Mirwaiz Umer Farooq said.
Ms Mufti asking people to make a choice between so called Kashmiriyat and ISIS both of which have no bearing on what is happening on ground here and are unrelated to the people’s struggle for right of self determination is a new method adopted by our deceitful subjugators for undermining the reality of Kashmir and distorting the facts in order to discredit the freedom movement and confuse people and the world regarding it., the statement read.
Mr. Modi also recently talked of some such disjoint and absurd choice for the people of Kashmir between Tourism and Terrorism, and Ms Mufti following her saviors footsteps carries it to another level of preposterousness. These people better understand that people of Kashmir no longer fall for such senseless arguments and are mature enough to understand what they are aimed at, the Mirwaiz group said.
Not ISIS or Kashmiriyat, instead it is freedom or slavery, and people ones for all have made their mind & since last seventy years are pursuing their cherished goal, said Hurriyat Conference led by Syed Ali Geelani.
Hurriyat (G) denounced the CMs statement, saying people have opted for freedom and rejected slavery, so no question arises to ask people about their choice.
People of different faith are living in complete harmony and there is no threat for mutual brotherhood and accord between the followers of different religions, said Hurriyat. However Indian forces under well thought plan are carrying genocide in state, alleged Hurriyat (G).
They are desperate to discredit & malign ongoing freedom struggle and as such are giving unnecessary hype to ISIS threat, the statement further added.
