Nothing to do with Futsal tournament: JKFA

SRINAGAR: J&K Football Association- the custodians of the sport in the state- Monday made it clear that it had nothing to do with the Futsal tournament being organised at Rajbagh playfield.

According to a statement issued by the association, JKFA has asked players not to take part in the tournament as it wasn’t associated with it.

“JKFA is not concerned with event where-in footballers  have been invited for taking part in local tournament followed by Futsal National Tournament being held at Goa. Players have approached and are enquiring from JKFA about the said activity,” the statement read.

It has asked players not to fall to this unauthorized group.

“The said sports discipline is part of game of football and is controlled organized and  promoted by the AIFF in the Country and the  JKFA in the J&K. Players and general public is requested to kindly do not fall to  this unauthorized group and disallow your wards from taking part in this Competition,” the statement said.
