Srinagar: Working president of the opposition National Conference (NC) Omar Abdullah today said nothing will improve in the Kashmir valley even after Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti secured her job for three more month after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.
Reacting to the statement of Ms Mehbooba that situation will improve within three months in the valley, where students are boycotting their classes and clashing with security forces, Mr Abdullah taking to micro blogging site twitter said The CM has managed to get herself a reprieve from the PM & secured her job for 3 more months. Sadly nothing will improve with her in office.
He further tweeted that While @MehboobaMufti goes door to door in Delhi to save her job the state teeters on the brink – student protests are the new worry.
Madam, you are UNABLE to hold elections to the Parliament seat you vacated. Please wake up & smell the reality of your leadership, the former Chief Minister said.
Before @MehboobaMufti goes about inviting other CMs to organise events in J&K how about getting her government to organise Anantnag LS poll. Ms Mehbooba, who was elected from Anantnag seat in 2014 resigned after she won Assembly byeelection and become Chief Minister. However, by-poll on April 12 in Anantnag Lok Sabha seat was postponed to next month following violence during polling in Srinagar LS seat in which eight persons were killed and over 100 injured in security force and police action on April 9.
