Two Books Released In Kashmir University

Srinagar: Kashmir’s literary world came alive on Saturday when two books published by well-known writers Z.G. Muhammad and Dr Javaid Iqbal were released amid a gathering of Kashmiri literary giants at Kashmir University.

The book release function was organized by Kashmir Centre Social and Development Studies and Gulshan Books that was attended by a galaxy of eminent personalities like Professor Hameeda Nayeem, Professor Muhammad Ashraf, Dr Altaf Ahmed, Dr Abdul Ahad, renowned civil society member Abdul Majeed Zargar, Hilal Saki, Shakeel Qalandar and others.

‘Story of Downtown Boy” is the book pertaining to birth burg of the author, Zahid G Mohammad. The book is a compendium of the series of his articles published every Sunday in Greater Kashmir.

The second book ‘Profile and Pen Portraits-Kashmir Sub continental and Beyond’ was released by Head of Department History Kashmir University Professor Muhammad Ashraf. The book is written by Dr Javaid Iqbal. All the speakers extolled the writings of authors.
