Srinagar: The restive Tral town of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district Thursday observed a complete shutdown to commemorate the second  death anniversary of Khalid Muzaffar Wani, the brother of militant commander Burhan Wani who was killed by Army in the town in 2015.

His death had sparked violent protests in the town. Though family had claimed that Khalid was innocent, but police maintained that the slain youth was Over Ground Worker (OGW) working for militants.

Amid shutdown, scores of people including family members visited grave yard located at Eidgah Tral to offer special prayers in favour of the slain youth. All the shops and business establishments remained shut to mark his 2nd death anniversary.
