Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party strongly rejected the allegation levelled by National Conference President, Dr. Farooq Abdullah that youth in the Valley are being used by the PDP to enforce election boycott by luring them with money.
PDP spokesman, Dr. Mehboob Baig Thursday said such a statement does not behove the stature Dr. Farooq Abdullah.
He said in 2010 also such a weird and baseless allegation was levelled by NC against PDP but not an iota of evidence was provided to substantiate the charge.
Dr Baig said the PDP considers youth as a treasured asset of a society and the Party believes that only positive engagement with them can get the State out of the prevailing situations.
The party spokesman said such a statement from the NC President is aimed to sensationalize the public opinion and shift the focus of people from the daily changing stands of their Party leadership.
