Oppression Can Never Change Kashmir, Kashmiris: Malik

Srinagar: Terming the statement of Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh as ‘provocative and ridiculous’, Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik Thursday said that anyone dreaming to change Kashmir and Kashmiris by ‘oppression’ is living in fool’s paradise.

Malik said, “Kashmiris from 1947 have been witnessing and enduring Indian aggression, oppression, suppression and genocide but this tyranny has not and can never break our resolve and passion from freedom,” a JKLF statement released to press here today said.

Malik said that Rajnath Singh came here thrice during 2016 mass uprising. “Every time he came, he issued orders to crush Kashmiris and PDP led ruling regime acted according to his orders and not only killed hundreds, blinded and injured thousands but filled jails and police stations with young and old Kashmiris.”

“We want to refresh Rajnath Singh’s memory that Hitler like approach has not worked and will never work in Jammu Kashmir,” Malik added.

He said that instead of dreaming to crush and change Kashmir, Rajnath should worry about his India which is fast changing because of RSS politics and is bound to get divided if ‘this politics of hate, fascism, oppression and communal divide remains as it is now’.
