Charge sheet produced against Forest officials

Srinagar: Vigilance Organization Kashmir produced a Charge Sheet (Challan) before the Anti-Corruption Court, Baramulla Thursday.

The Case was registered under FIR No. 17/2012 U/S 5(1)(d) r/w 5(2) J&K P. C. Act. Samvat 2006, Section 120-B RPC P/S VOK Srinagar.

The charge sheet was filed after obtaining proper sanction from the competent authority for launching prosecution against the in-service/retired accused Government public servants of forest Department.

They are Mohammad Shafi Dar, the then Range Officer Gurez (now retired),

Ghulam Nabi Bhat, the then Block Forester Kawabal Gurez (now retired).

Abdul Qayoom Shah the then Block Forester Churwan Gurez.

Vigilance Organization Kashmir has registered a case into the allegations of misappropriation of Govt. money by the forest Department and by hatching a criminal conspiracy by abuse of their official positions as public servants dishonestly caused loss to the tune of Rs.2,93,043/- to the state exchequer in the construction of Forest check post at Chekhwali Kawabal, Gurez and in the implementation of CMS Participatory programme during the year 2008-09.

The Investigation of the case was concluded as proved against the aforementioned accused persons and for launching prosecution the Challan of the case has been produced before the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge Anti-corruption, Baramulla Kashmir. (CNS)

Vigilance chargesheet against BMO

 On the allegations of illegal appointments of Class–IV employees like Nursing Orderlies/Safaiwalas by Dr. Mumtaz Hussain Shah then BMO Surankote (now retired) and others, vigilance organization registered a formal case i.e, FIR No. 15/2015 u/s 5(1)(d) r/w 5(2) J&K Prevention of Corruption  Act, 2006 and Section 120-B RPC at P/S VOJ on 20/03/2015.

Detailed investigations by the vigilance organization into the matter proved the  allegations of corruption charges against Dr. Mumtaz Hussain Shah, then BMO Surankote and Abdul Qayoom Jr.Assistant Sub District Hospital Surankote, who by abuse of their official positions with ulterior motives in order to give undue benefits to accused private beneficiaries residing in Surankote area of Poonch  district,  namely Mushtaq Ahmed S/O Sh. Samad Joo R/O Lathoong; Qadir Ahmed S/O Mohd. Rashid R/O Gunthal; Kabir Ahmed S/O Khurshid Ahmed R/O Sanai; Mushtaq Ahmed S/O Aziz-ud-Din R/O Lathoong; Tahira Parveen W/O Mushtaq Ahmed R/O Buffliaz; and Niaz Ahmed S/O Nazir Hussain R/O Sanai, issued illegal appointment orders  without providing equal opportunity and inducing competition by advertising the said posts and bypassing all other rules/procedures required for the transparent selection process. After establishment of charges of corruption against public servants and   criminal conspiracy with accused private beneficiaries, Vigilance Organization produced chargesheet against then BMO, Jr Assistant and 06 other accused private persons before the Anti-Corruption Court Rajouri on April 6 this month.
