Srinagar: A stray bear was today captured in the central Kashmir district of Ganderbal and later released in the forest, a wildlife official said.
He said bear, reportedly separated from others, was seen moving by people at village Lar in Ganderbal district Wednesday morning.
The bear was later captured alive and later shifted to a wildlife sanctuary in the upper reaches.
The wild animals are infiltrating into villages near forest because of shortage of food there.
