Politics in Kashmir is murky

It is in the character of Kashmiri rulers to change their mindset once they secure power as seen in the freedom struggle of Kashmir from 1947 though blood of their brothers is spilled. Starting from Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah to Mehbooba Mufti everybody is interested in power.Having same emotions as that of common Kashmiris when they are in opposition as reflected in 2010 by Mehbooba Mufti and in 2016 and 2017 by Farooq Abdullah. It is the power only which changes their mindset otherwise emotions are same.

Mehbooba’s  party was voted by the people on the promise she will support peaceful protests in Kashmir. But unfortunately she supported the pellet guns which blinded innocent Kashmiris. The irony is that she even supported the killing of Kashmiris by bullets when they have only stones  in their hands. Nobody in India is ready to understand the gravity of stone pelting. It is not there because of  the payment of Rs 500 but it is triggered by unlawful oppression of the people. It is the natural tendency of human beings that when oppression goes beyond the threshold, they are ready to go violent. Violence in the form of picking stones and finally picking guns.

The innocent young boys throwing stones at the army near encounter sites do so to forbid the killing of one of their brother. They ask to be allowed to live peacefully providd peope are given rights and demands. Unfortunately Mehbooba  has ruined her mandate by joining hands with BJP against whom people of Kashmir voted. But people now are educated emough to understand  chameleon like character of PDP and NC.

The report submitted by Yashwant Sinha delegation nowhere mentions that Kashmiris are paid to pelt stones. It doesn’t show Kashmiris protest because of separatists but it is the agony and pain in their hearts by virtue of which they come out to protest and pelt stones.

Mehbooba doesn’t feel the pain and agony of those Kashmiris who lost their loved ones because they protested against oppression. Because they raised the voice against injustice. All political parties in Kashmir have not lived up to the hopes of innocent kashmiris.

Please for Gods sake stop living on the blood of innocent Kashmiris. There are so many reasons why Kashmiri people come out of their homes to protest and pelt stones. Everybody loves his life. But shame on the government which portrays them as paid anti-nationals instead of salving their wounds. Shame on the government that a Cabinet Minister gives his report by stating that Kashmiris are not anti-nationals but the government there has failed to reach out to the people and redress their grieviences .

I urge my fellow Kashmiris to be united and we will achieve our aim through dialogue.  But these political parties doesn’t want a dialogue to happen. We have to remove them and bring people who we  trust.
