Soz To PM: ‘Listen to Geelani’s Advice’

Srinagar: Former union minister and senior Congress leader Prof Saifuddin Soz has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should listen to advice of Hurriyat Conference leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani to resolve the Kashmir issue.

In a statement here this afternoon Soz said that in his opinion Geelani gave right advice to PM Modi to be a statesman and resolve the Kashmir dispute for good.

“Keen observers of Kashmir politics say that Hurriyat’s latest advice is a positive contribution towards resolution of the dispute”, he said.

He said these keen Kashmir observers also feel that PM Modi is not being served well by his advisers who make him repeat hollow Mantara of ‘Insaniyat, Jamhoriyat and Kashmiriyat’.

The general run of the Kashmiris feel the repetition of this Mantra is nothing more than a hoax for Kashmiris, he said.

Prof Soz said Modi must also understand that the expression ‘Development’ also constitutes a hollow message for the people who suffer from a deep hurt feeling in their heart and mind.

It is high time that PM Modi appreciates, in full measure, that no further time can be wasted for resuming a meaningful dialogue to resolve the Kashmir dispute, former Union minister said.
