Ahead of Pakistan Day, Hurriyat-G Leaders Arrested

SRINAGAR: Ahead of the ‘Pakistan Day’ function on March 23 in New Delhi at Pakistan Embassy, Hurriyat Conference (G) leaders said that they have been either put under house arrest or lodged in different police stations by the authorities.

 

A Hurriyat Conference (G) member informed KNS that its leaders including Tehreek-e-Hurriyat General Secretary, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai; Hurriyat Conference (G) General Secretary, Shabir Ahmad Shah; Hurriyat Conference (G) spokesperson, Ayaz Akbar; Personal Secretary to Syed Ali Geelani, Peer Saifullah; Altaf Ahmad Shah, Raja Mehraj-u-d-din, Muhammad Ashraf Laya, Umar Adil Dar have been placed either under house detention or jailed in police stations.

 

He said that besides its chief, Syed Ali Geelani, other leaders are scheduled to visit New Delhi to attend the ‘Pakistan Day’ function on March 23.
