Anganwadi workers protest in Anantnag, demand pending salary

Anantnag: Scores of Anganwadi workers of Anantnag district  Saturday staged a protest demonstration in Anantnag demanding release of their pending salaries.

Hundreds of workers today took part in a protest demonstration near DC office Anantnag alleging indifferent attitude of authorities towards their plight.

They demanded release of their pending salary of last eight months.  “We have  not received our salaries for last eight months,” said Abdul Rashid Najar, State secretary union of Anganwadi workers of south kashmir. He further said that we have been demanding regularisation of our services for last one year, but government is not listening to our pleas.

He threatned that they will not discharge any duty in  upcoming parliment by -elections
