Anti-encroachment drive launched in Bijbehara

Anantnag: A massive anti-encroachment drive was Tuesday launched in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district 

On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Dr Syed Aabid Shah, the Tehsildar Bijbehara, Sajad Ahmad Wani along with a team of revenue officers and police officials of Bijbehara police station  undertook a special anti encroachment drive in Wagama village and removed 37 kanals of land which was occupied by encroachers. 

“During the drive, our team vacated encroached land besides also demolished illegal structures,”  said Sajad  adding “ district administration is making all out efforts to remove the illegal encroachments” . 

He said this drive will also be initiated in other parts of Bijbehara Tehsil in coming days and strict action will be taken against the encroachers.
