Tral: Two militants and a policeman were killed in a 14-hour-long gunfight in Hafoo Nazneenpora village of Tral in south Kashmirs Pulwama district on Sunday, police said.
An army major, two soldiers and a CRPF trooper were wounded in the gunfight that started last night.
Reports said the two bodies of militants were recovered from the site of the encounter. Their identity was not immediately established.
The house in which militants were hiding was blasted by Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), said locals .
The deceased policeman was identified as Manzoor Ahmad of Salamabad Uri.
