Tral: An encounter is underway between militants and forces in Hafoo Nazneenpora village of Tral in South Kashmirs Pulwama district,police said on Saturday evening.
Army and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir Police laid a siege to the village after inputs about the presence of militants.
Heavy clashes have also been reported near the encounter site.
Locals took to streets and pelted stones on forces to help militants escape from the cordon.
