SRINAGAR: The Board of School Education (BOSE) has denied reports that there is any ban on wearing of turban by Sikh students during examinations in the state.

A spokesperson of the BOSE said that a fake and fabricated post has been displayed over Social Media (Facebook) by some mischief mongers under the name and banner of BOSE relating to ban on wearing of turban or Dastar by Sikh students while appearing in various board examinations.

“It is totally forged, concocted and baseless, as such is condemned and refuted,” he said.

Accordingly, he added, it is notified for the information of all stakeholders, particularly Sikh students appearing in J&K BOSE examinations not to pay any heed to such hoax and bogus posts displayed on social media by vested elements for some mala-fide intension  and to vitiate the smooth and fair conduct of board examinations.
