No More Vacations This Year In Valley; School Chalay Hum!

SRINAGAR: Many years after, all Schools (Government as well as Private) of Kashmir division will reopen on Ist arch today after two and a half months’ winter vacations.

The Valley witnessed extension in winter vacations for many past years. However, despite heavy snowfall this year, the spring has started on a sunny weather with temperatures increasing in the day.

According to an order issued by School Education department last year, routine class work will start from Wednesday, however, school staff was directed to attend their duties a day earlier to make preparations for the class work.

Snowbound Areas To Observe More Holidays

 The J&K government has extended winter vacation in snow bound areas of the Kashmir valley up to March 12.

According to government order issued here on Tuesday, the schools located in snowbound areas of Machil, Jamgund, Keran, Gurez, Karnah, Kodara, and Hajibal Gogaldara of Kashmir Division shall observe extended winter vacation up to March 12, 2017.

The vacation has been extended in view of the apprehensions of avalanche and road connectivity issues in these areas. The schools shall reopen on March 13. 201
