SRINAGAR: A youth from Srinagar was again booked under draconian Public Safety Act (PSA).

A statement issued by JKLF said that Ashiq Hussain is languishing in Kotbalwal jail for last many years.

“Ashiq has been served 5th PSA today at Kotbalwal jail during one year or so,” JKLF chief, Muhammad Yasin Malik, said.

“Similarly, other youth of the same area, Faisal Aslam Khan and Zahoor Ahmad Khan are also languishing in jail from a long time,” he said.

Terming the use of black law PSA to prolong incarceration of these young boys as “state sponsored terrorism”, JKLF chairman said, “thousands of youth are in jails and the rulers are prolonging their incarceration by using illegal black law PSA against them, which is undemocratic and inhuman.”
