Police arrests Qazi Yasir  

Srinagar : Police arrests Qazi Yasir Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Ummat-e-Islami and Mirwaiz south Kashmir, on Saturday morning in Srinagar when he was on a hunger strike against the continuous arrest of political prisoners in Kashmir, along with many pro-freedom leaders.

He was logged into the Kothi Bagh. The hunger strike was aimed to draw attention to political prisoners in a peaceful manner but the police arrived on spot in Press Enclave to sabotage the strike.
