Clashes erupt in Palhallan; 3 persons injured

Srinagar: Three persons sustained pellet injuries after clashes erupted in Palhallan area of Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday against a raid by government forces.

Reports said that three injured persons have been shifted to some hospital who had pellet injuries.

They added that ambulances are being seen rushing towards the area which is an indication that some more people are injured there.

As reported earlier, that soon after forces reached Tantrapora, in Palhalan, and started cordoning the area, hundreds of locals came on streets and raising anti-India and pro-freedom slogans pelted stones on them.

The forces retaliated by using tear gas shelling and aerial firing, they said.

Clashes were going on when reports last came in.
