Restrictions imposed in Kulgam to foil ‘Kulgam Chalo’

Kulgam: Authorities on Wednesday imposed restrictions across Kulgam district in south Kashmir to foil “Kulgam chalo”, called by the United Resistance Leadership.

Reportsw said that huge contingents of police and paramilitary troopers have been deployed at district headquarter Kulgam and other major townships of the district including Khudwani, Quimoo, Frisal, Yaripora and Bugam.

Forces have sealed all main and link roads leading to Kulgam to prevent people from marching towards the district headquarter.

Meanwhile a complete shutdown is being observed across the district against the killing of four local militants and two civilians during an encounter in Frisal, area on Sunday.

Two army men had also been killed in the encounter while three others had suffered injuries.
