Masrat Alam Shifted To PS Hajin

SRINAGAR: Incarcerated Muslim League chairperson, Masarat Alam Bhat, was on Tuesday shifted to police station Hajin in Bandipora district.

Alam was lodged in district jail Baramulla since a Srinagar court had sent him on police remand last week.

“Masarat Alam was produced in the Court of First Magistrate, Srinagar, where a police party from Hajin came and took him along,” a Muslim League spokesperson said.

He said that an FIR No 53/2015 is lodged against him in police station Hajin.

Alam is continuously behind bars since he spearheaded mass uprising 2010.

He was arrested on October 18, 2010 and was released for mere 40 days in February 2015 since then.
