Clashes in Pulwama village during search operation

Pulwama: Government forces resorted to aerial firing to disperse protesters at Nowpora Lassipora area of Pulwama district on Friday.

Reports said that forces resorted to aerial firing and tear gas shelling in Nowpora Lassipora village after clashes erupted between protesters and forces during a cordon and search operation.

“Scores of youth took to streets and staged protest soon after forces cordoned the area,” reports said.

However, police sources said that few youths pelted stones on forces who were chased away. They said that the situation was completely under control.
