‘New Delhi Using Assembly To Dilute Kashmir Dispute’

Jammu: Independent MLA Langate, Er Rasheed on Wednesday alleged that the developments that took place in atate assembly today have yet again proved that the house is being controlled by “secret hands”.

As soon as house began, Rasheed after being allowed by the speaker to speak said that the “drama” over Mehbooba Mufti’s remarks should be seen in the context what has been happening in the Assembly since long.

He said, “While government of India is giving the perception that Hafiz Syed has been kept under house arrest to initiate a meaningful dialogue between India and Pakistan to resolve J&K dispute, but on other hand New Delhi is making the state assembly to create a situation that gives a notion as if J&K dispute is only about protecting article 370 and people of J&K need or deserve nothing beyond that.”

“While NC and congress have every right to make hue and cry over speaker’s role and take to streets in secretariat premises, but they need to answer how then speaker had shamefully disgraced the house by sabotaging resolution seeking clemency for Afzal Guru,” Rasheed added.

He said that the foundation of unconstitutional proceedings and episodes has been laid by none other than NC and Congress in the past and all the major parties are doing politics of convenience that suits to their vested political agenda.

He alleged that the decision to adjourn house sine die was a move to dilute the real dispute, facilitate PDP in “befooling” people of Kashmir during Islamabad and Srinagar Parliamentary by poles.
