Srinagar: J&K Government on Friday said that the process for widening of Habba Kadal Chowk and removal of bottlenecks at Syed Mansoor Shahab (RA) has been taken up.
The information was provided by Minister for Public Works and Parliamentary Affairs Abdul Rehman Veeri in the J&K Legislative Assembly today.
Replying to a question by National Conference legislator representing Habba Kadal Constituency, Shamima Firdous, the Minister said that Rs 30 lakh has been advanced to the Collector for widening of Habba Kadal Chowk and Rs 25 lakh for removal of bottlenecks at Syed Mansoor Shahib (RA).
For widening of Habba Kadal Chowk, an amount of Rs 30 lakh stands advanced to the Collector for settlement of 4 structures. The case for one structure is sub-judice and proceedings with respect to remaining 3 structures are in progress, he informed.
The Minister also informed the house that for removal of bottlenecks at Syed Mansoor Shahib (RA) Chowk, an amount of Rs 25 lakh stands advanced to the Collector. Out of 4 structures involved, dismantling of one structure is presently under progress and case of another structure is sub-judice, he added.
For remaining two structures, acquisition process has been initiated and indent placed with the Collector, he said.
