New Delhi: Hoping that Government of India will keenly follow his Kashmir Report, former Foreign Minister Yashwant Sinha Monday said that Kashmir issue can only be resolved through dialogue between New Delhi and Srinagar.
Sinha had led a delegation twice to Kashmir during the unrest and prepared a report which they made public on Saturday.
We have submitted the report before the Ministry of Home Affairs and Prime Ministers Office, Sinha said. Our report was fair and that is why it is being hailed in political circles of Kashmir. We reported what we witnessed in Valley. This time we are hopeful that government of India will take this report seriously and will implement the recommendations in letter and spirit.
Responding to a question, Sinha said that he is waiting for the response from the Government of India. There will be a feedback from New Delhi and it is too early to say anything about it. I am quite hopeful and dead sure that this time New Delhi will think and act upon our report. I would have never visited Kashmir, if i would not have been hopeful. I am hopeful and waiting for the positive response from the Government of India, Sinha said.
Yaswant Sinha who was Finance and Foreign Minister during Vajpayee government said that the solution to Kashmir issue doesnt lie in bloodbath and violence. The fruitful engagement between New Delhi and Srinagar will lead us towards a solution. People and leader of Kashmir should also understand that this issue can be resolved only through dialogue, Sinha said.
