DSEK suspends 7 staff members of school and DIET in Pampore


Srinagar: Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK) on Wednesday suspended seven staff members of Government Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) and District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) in Pampore.

Officials said DSEK, during his visit to the BHSS Pampore found the school Principal and Senior Assistant absent from the duty.

“The Principal and the Senior Assistant were put under suspension for remaining absent from their duities,” DSEK Ajaz Ahmad Bhat said.

He said four lecturers and in-charge SBM in DIET Pampore were also put under suspension for remaining absent from their duties.

He said the school heads and the clerical staff has to remain present in their schools during vacations for official works. “HoD and clerical staff must be present in their respective schools during vacations also. We have started Super 50 and winter schooling for which schools heads have to remain present in their schools,” DSE said.

He said all the erring officials have been attached to Chief Education Office (CEO) Pulwama and DIET Pampore in Pulwama. “We have ordered departmental inquiry against the suspended officials as swell,” he said. (CNS)
