WASHINGTON: Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval has met US president-elect Donald Trumps NSA-designate Retired General Michael Flynn, Indian officials told journalists. On Tuesday, Doval also met US Secretary of State John Kerry in Washington.
In the Doval-Flynn meeting, the two sides discussed a wide range of regional and global strategic issues and explore ways to further Indo-US ties, media reports said. Mr Doval arrived in the US on Monday. Mr Flynn telephoned Mr Doval a few days ago and invited him to come to the US for a meeting.
The first meeting between the two lasted for over an hour and was an opportunity for them to exchange views on global issues, and how to further strengthen India-US co-operation and engagement in the months and years to come, Indian officials said.
