Ganderbal: The students from Sainik School Mansbal in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday staged a protest against the school management for not allowing them to leave the school for winter period. The students alleged that the in the absence of poor heating system, they are not able to concentrate on their studies and they want to prepare for the March exams in their respective homes.
“We have already completed the syllabus and now it was the time for winter vacation. Our exams will be conducted in March next year and home will be the better place to revise our syllabus. However, the school authorities are reluctant and are forcing us to prepare here in the school during this harsh winter period. The fact is that there in inadequate heating facility. We have been dying due to cold and want to go to the home,” the protesting students told news agency CNS.
The students alleged that they are being forced to stay in the school just because political dignitaries are going to organization a function in the middle of the December.
