Banihal: On the protest call given by former minister and member legislative assembly Banihal Vikar Rasool Wani over shifting of Nursing college cum AMT school from Banihal to Ramban, thousands of people from different knocks and corners of Banihal assembly segment today hold massive public gathering at Tourist Sarai Banihal here today.
Protesters show strong resentment and anger against present PDP BJP coalition government led by Mehbooba Mufti and criticise the design of shifting Nursing college from Banihal to Ramban.
During the day long protest dharna which starts from Banihal Tourist Sarai and ends at general bus stand Banihal different speakers including secretary pardesh Congress committee and President college action committee Imtiyaz Ahmed Khanday said that PDP has deliberately shift nursing college from in order please their RSS coalition partners.
While addressing huge protest rally at general bus stand Banihal MLA Banihal Vikar Rasool Wani alleged PDP BJP Government responsible for shifting Nursing college from Banihal to Ramban. He added that PDP has sold interest of Jammu minorities to BJP and RSS for power sharing in the state, and latest decision of shifting sanctioned Nursing college from Banihal is one worst anti Banihal step taken by Mehboba Mufti led coalition government, as this party has history of befooling Banihal people first they shifted Toll post from Banihal to lower Munda, diverting six crores from Senabati road to Baramulla and now Sanctioned Nursing college from Banihal to Ramban.
MLA Banihal further said it is height of intolerance that Chief minister Mehbooba Mufti to destroy the foundation stone distt complex laid by former Chief minister Gh Nabi Azad for installing new foundation stone of Nursing college which has been shifted from Banihal to Ramban in old distt complex at Ramban.
Present coalition partners are beating the drums of formal foundation laying stone of Degree college Banihal which has given by Ghulam Nabi Azad ten years ago Vikar added.
In his concluding address to the huge public gathering Vikar Rasool wani seeks the cooperation of political parties for this common cause and assured the protesters that he will left no stone unturned to provide justice to the people of his constituency.
