New Delhi: In view of the proposed visit of Pakistan’s Foreign Policy Advisor Sartaj Aziz’s visit to attend the ‘Heart of Asia Conference’ in Amritsar, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit Monday said Islamabad is willing for bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the conclave.

The Pakistani envoy said if there was an offer of dialogue from India, then it would be accepted by Pakistan, adding, we can delay talks for months or even for years.

But ultimately, a solution to the problems between India and Pakistan can only come through dialogue, and therefore, both nations must sit and discuss all the issues that confront them,” he said.

Aziz is under attack from the Pakistani media, which is questioning the decision of attending the conference in the backdrop of India’s sustained campaign to isolate Pakistan internationally on the issue of terrorism.
