SRINAGAR:Dense fog has again disrupted air traffic from Srinagar International Airport, where all morning flights were cancelled.
Due to very poor visibility no flight could land or take off from the airport today so far, an official of the airport told UNI.
He said there are very less chances of resuming air traffic because of very dense fog due to which the visibility is very poor.
However, he said, almost all flights operated yesterday when the sky was clear and there is no fog.
Air traffic from the Srinagar airport remained disrupted due to poor visibility for the past ten days, badly affecting those who had planned their travel in advance.
However, some people prefer to travel by road to Jammu instead of waiting to clear the sky.
Met department spokesman said that visibility will improve once there is rain or snow which could remove the mist.
A group of three Rajya Sabha members from the Jammu and Kashmir had met Defence Minister and requested him to make some arrangements so that flights could also operate even when there is poor visibility.
