SRINAGAR: Two families from Tral town of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district Thursday alleged that police and district administration have not been taking action against those responsible for the ‘murder’ of the two of their members. They alleged that ‘killers’ are being shielded and no investigation has been taken up to probe the twin murder case.
“In February this year, the bodies of two men Muhammad Yousuf, 22, son of Ghulla Gojar and Mohammad Yousuf,32, son of Jumma Ahmad were found in Naristan hills. The people accompanying them had claimed that they were hit by a snow avalanche despite the fact there were no traces of snow on the spot. The irony is that even the Tehsildar and the police officers reported that the duo died in snow avalanche, which is not a fact,” the family members who had assembled in Press Enclave Srinagar told news agency CNS while displaying the photographs of slain youth with torture marks.
“We appeal the concerned authorities to probe the matter and question the suspects who had taken them into the Mushkidajan forest area in hilly Naristan area in Tral,” they said. (CNS)
